On Sunday, October 5, the Association organized its quarterly reporting and feedback meeting at the Tilak Nagar Center. The session covered updates on the Association’s recent activities as well as new developments from UNHCR over the past three months. Participants also took the opportunity to share their concerns, challenges, and constructive suggestions. The meeting further included an information session about employment opportunities and the number of Australian visa placements available. In conclusion, a candlelight vigil and poetry recital were held in remembrance of the tragic events of September 25.
The Association of Hazara Voice for Justice (AHVJ) was founded in 2020 in New Delhi, India, by a group of Hazara refugees with the aim of advocating for the rights of refugees living in India and serving as a bridge between the Hazara community in India and relevant refugee organizations. AHVJ is also dedicated to offering educational, vocational, and awareness programs to help refugees enhance their skills and capacities. Our vision is to build a society where everyone has equal opportunities and is treated fairly, regardless of their affiliations, ensuring that no one’s rights are violated or overlooked.
