On Friday, 20 June, the Association of Hazara Voice for Justice, with the support of BASCO and UNHCR, organized a special Refugee Day program at the Tilak Nagar Education Center, held exclusively for the students of the center. The event featured speeches by guests and the leadership of the association, a short drama, beautiful dance performances by the students, personal life stories, and a display of student talents including painting, creative writing, music, and the presentation of gifts to special guests. Among the special guests were UNHCR and BASCO officers, Ms. Anchal – Head of the Simorgh Center, and Ms. Shreya – a PhD researcher in refugee studies, who all joined the students in celebrating this important day. The Association of Hazara Voice for Justice sincerely thanks the honorable guests for their presence and expresses deep appreciation for the impressive performances and participation of the students.
The Association of Hazara Voice for Justice (AHVJ) was founded in 2020 in New Delhi, India, by a group of Hazara refugees with the aim of advocating for the rights of refugees living in India and serving as a bridge between the Hazara community in India and relevant refugee organizations. AHVJ is also dedicated to offering educational, vocational, and awareness programs to help refugees enhance their skills and capacities. Our vision is to build a society where everyone has equal opportunities and is treated fairly, regardless of their affiliations, ensuring that no one’s rights are violated or overlooked.
