On May 30, the Association of Hazara Voice for Justice met with UNHCR officers at the SLIC Center in Vikaspuri, along with several community members and board members. UNHCR reported a 35 percent budget cut and 38 percent staff reduction, which has led to major cuts in emergency and health support. Medical assistance is now limited to 15000 rupees, and the Subsistence Allowance is based on household size—7000 rupees for families of three or fewer, and 10000 rupees for four or more. UNHCR’s priorities include registration, advocating for recognition of refugee documents, and conducting RSD interviews only for the most vulnerable. Resettlement remains the lowest priority, with only 200 slots available this year. The Association of Hazara Voice for Justice raised concerns about case delays, lack of transparency in resettlement, visa issues outside Delhi, and the conditions of single women, students, and men. UNHCR acknowledged the concerns and assured continued efforts to address them. Thank You Association of Hazara Voice for Justice
