On Sunday, 20 April 2025 at 4:00 PM, the Association of Hazaras Voice for Justice convened a regional meeting at its Training Center in Tilak Nagar. A diverse gathering of community members—including elders, women, and youth—attended to engage directly with the Association. The primary goal of the session was to present a comprehensive report on AHVJ’s activities over the past three months and to provide a forum for community members to voice the challenges, suggestions, and issues they have encountered in the Tilak Nagar area. Mr. Safa Khesraw, the Association’s Coordinator, opened the meeting by welcoming all attendees and delivering a detailed summary of the Association’s quarterly programs across various sectors. Following his presentation, participants were invited to share their questions, express their concerns, and offer proposals to the AHVJ team. The meeting concluded on a collegial note with refreshments provided by the Association, allowing attendees and staff to continue informal conversations and strengthen community bonds.
The Association of Hazara Voice for Justice (AHVJ) was founded in 2020 in New Delhi, India, by a group of Hazara refugees with the aim of advocating for the rights of refugees living in India and serving as a bridge between the Hazara community in India and relevant refugee organizations. AHVJ is also dedicated to offering educational, vocational, and awareness programs to help refugees enhance their skills and capacities. Our vision is to build a society where everyone has equal opportunities and is treated fairly, regardless of their affiliations, ensuring that no one’s rights are violated or overlooked.
